Each month brings fifteen to twenty new titles selected after careful reading by our team.

We attend estate sales and auctions across the United Kingdom, carefully authenticating each volume before it reaches our shelves. Building a love of reading starts early. Our children's section features award-winning illustrators, diverse voices, and stories that spark imagination without relying on franchise tie-ins. We host weekly story-time sessions and maintain a young readers' recommendation wall where children leave notes for one another about their favourite discoveries.
Our buyers read advance copies, visit independent publishers, and attend literary festivals across England and beyond to find titles worth carrying.
Every potential addition is read by at least two team members. We discuss themes, prose quality, and whether the book fills a gap on our shelves.
Accepted titles are grouped into thematic displays with handwritten staff notes explaining why we chose them and who might enjoy them most.
